Pittsburgh, PA: Duquesne University is the perfect school for someone looking for a big city and an average-size college. There are approximately 6,000 undergraduates at Duquesne. Its campus, although isolated form the heart of the city, is a mere five-minute walk from its shopping district, restaurants, and night life.

The university offers many activities and its basketball team is in the Atlantic Ten Conference. They also have intramural sports such as volleyball and badminton for those with a friendly, competitive edge. So, between school games and Pittsburgh's sights, there's no room for boredom.

Having visited many other colleges, the dormitory facilities at Duquesne are the best by far. Freshmen reside in one of two housing areas and upperclassmen live in the Duquesne Towers, designated completely for them. The rooms are spacious and have great views of the city. Not only do the Towers have their own dining hall, but it also has a pool. If that's not enough for you to keep in shape, then the Palumbo Center will, with its weight room, track, and free aerobic classes.

So, if this sounds like what you're looking for and you want a sociable atmosphere, then Duquesne University is a school worth looking into. f
