My name is Hunter Dean, here are some of the things I have done.  . As long as I am a Blue Devil, I know I won't have any downfalls.  I have competed in football all four years of high school, basketball for two years, and track for two years. After high school, I plan on going to Butler Community College studying physical therapy and obtaining my associate‘s degree. From there I hope to move on to a four year university to finish my schooling.

I believe I deserve your consideration for this scholarship because I have displayed good sportsmanship and leadership in sports and in the community. I am a good role model for the children who look up to me. I always demonstrate respect for my elders and peers.  I have been a fine citizen seeing as I have never been in trouble with the law and have done my part also by doing my part to make the community a safer and nicer place to live.  My class has been given the opportunity to do community service and I always jump on it to do my part. For example our community service day at the high school. We go around town and clean the city and make sure everything looks nice.

Whether it be on the field or on the court I have been known to be a good sport. Scoring touchdowns isn't the only thing I think about. I pick people up when they get knocked down and encourage when they are feeling down. I feel that my team has always looked to me when things gets rough and I advise them to persevere, keep working hard and give all they have.

Sports have taught me many valuable life lessons that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Starting my future, I will already be ahead. I have applied what I have learned from my coaches and teammates to life. Thanks to sports I now know the true meaning of team, integrity, sportsmanship, and most of all perseverance. Finally I truly do feel blessed that god has put me here, I know there is no where else I would have rather spent my high school years. Sadness will come to me when I graduate; yet I am very excited to see what the future holds for me.
