Mirror Image
This sculpture was created through the motions of a reverse eye gouge. In the process of creating this form, I constantly tilted my head to the right, trying to make sense of the direction I was taking this piece. I decided my piece was going to do the exact same thing to me; its head is also tilted to the right scrutinizing every detail of my face as I had done to its. The glaze I used was a crackle glaze causing minuscule lines to form allowing me to douse it in india ink and create delicate black lines outlining its unique form.
