Personal Mandela
This is called a Mandela. It is made with color sand. I used a funnel made of copper with a tiny hole on one end and a bigger hole on the other end to insert the sand. This process was very very slow and patient. I dont have much patience but i really took my time on this. First we scteched things that are sacred to us onto a wooden board; than place the sand. I also used a x-acto knife to get sharp edges and a square piece of contruction paper for curves. Theres a puerto rican flag in the middle symbolizing my nationality- Basketball because i love to play the sport. Ive been playing since 4th grade and now im a senior. Around is a skyline of the city- I was born and raised in The Bronx N.Y. You will also see a triangle, x, circle and square. Thats part of a ps3 controller- i love video games. The yellow is just pretty design =)
